The Carabinieri of the Cutro station carried out two separate arrest orders against two men, both aged 56, held responsible for the crime of extortion aggravated by the mafia method. The measures represent the epilogue of a complex investigative activity developed in recent years in the territory of the province of Crotone, and more particularly in the Cutro area.
The investigations made it possible to reconstruct a solid evidential framework, highlighting how the defendants had carried out extortion conduct characterized by the typical intimidation of mafia groups. At the end of the formalities, the two subjects were taken to the Catanzaro prison, where they will serve the prison sentence ordered by the court.
