«Yes to Occhiuto’s encore» As for the re-nomination of the current governor Roberto Occhiuto – recently the Italian president declared that he aims to obtain a new encore – the leaders of Forza Italia (as expected) say they are more than favorable. «We take the re-nomination for granted and I believe – Cannizzaro always says – that our allied friends also think like me. Speaking, discussing with the allies – continued Cannizzaro – I believe we are all in the same direction. On the other hand, Occhiuto is the best president that Calabria has had, obtaining results that come because there is teamwork and the team is also made up of the Brothers of Italy, the League, We Moderates and many other forces that they are joining together because they think that this centre-right will win again, I am absolutely convinced, the regional elections to give continuity to this narrative of Calabria which has no precedent in history.” Forza Italia’s position thus far, now we are waiting to understand whether the other allied forces – Fratelli d’Italia and Lega first and foremost – who have so far remained silent on the subject, will also take an official position.
