With decree no. 25, Arcea has arranged for the payment of 27,176,838.37 euros in favor of Calabrian farmers as part of the surface measures of the CAP Strategic Plan (PSP) 2023–2027.
The resources are allocated to Measure Sra 29 – “Maintenance of organic agriculture”, a key intervention of the new CAP programming which supports farmers voluntarily committed to continuing the organic management of their agricultural surfaces for a five-year period.
“The objective of the measure – declares the Councilor for Agriculture of the Calabria Region Gianluca Gallo – is to consolidate and strengthen the surfaces already converted to organic, promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly production models. This payment represents a further signal of our determination to support a sector that has courageously chosen the path of quality and sustainability. Organic agriculture is a heritage for Calabria: it protects the environment, enhances the territories and strengthens the competitiveness of our companies”.
The settlement concerns the 2025 advances, relating to payment requests admitted up to 85% of the requested contribution, as required by community legislation, and comes alongside the payment made in the previous days relating to the 2014–2022 RDP, for an amount of 36,545,660.51 euros.
