A fire, of almost certain malicious origin, is affecting some uncultivated land in the Tremola district, in Furnari. Staff from the Forestry Corps and firefighters are working on site. At the request of the coordination on the ground, a helicopter coming from Naso is also intervening with water supply at the tank located in Campo Grande di Tripi. The soldiers from the Furnari carabinieri station were also on site. Fortunately, no injuries to people were reported.
The combined intervention
The combined action of ground and air vehicles has limited the affected area, and the remediation of the last outbreaks is underway. Also present is a technical team of e-distribution to check for any damage to high voltage pylons.
