Gregorio Gallello and Teresa Esposito are the new provincial secretaries of the Democratic Party of Catanzaro and Vibo Valentia.
The election of Gallello, mayor of Gasperina and provincial councilor, has been sure since the early bars. Of course, the competition was also characterized by harsh controversy: the split in the Pd Lametino brought several members led by the former parliamentary Doris Lo Moro not to participate in the vote, but strong tensions also came from the front of the competitor of Gallello, Francesco Pitaro, who withdrawn the congress candidacy in progress by complaining of poor transparency and under the underlying agreements. Yesterday the Committee of the “Together” list of Gallello showed the percentages, when four circles were now missing, with the new secretary of almost 80% and Pitaro almost 14%: “All the rest is a distorted and instrumental narrative.” The new secretary for his part said that “we will have to be a cohesive political community, which walks together towards an authoritative and reliable political proposal”.
