Sabreen al-Sakani, the newborn born through an emergency caesarean section in Rafah hospital, in the southern Gaza Strip, did not survive. Her baby was born after her mother was fatally hit in the Israeli air raid that hit their home. Same tragic fate as her husband Shoukri and her other three-year-old daughter, Malak.

Sabreen had been named Sabreen Erooh in honor of her mother: the two names together mean “spirit of Sabreen”. Her health condition was considered critical from the beginning. Her grandmother, Mirvat al-Sakani, told the BBC that she would adopt the child. Now Sabreen has been buried next to her mother.
