When he saw the Carabinieri patrol arriving, he tried to escape and get rid of the drugs by throwing them from the window of an apartment building. But the gesture did not go unnoticed: the soldiers of the Radiomobile Section of the Milazzo Company stopped him immediately afterwards, recovering the package which contained over 100 grams of hashish.
Thus ended the night of a 43-year-old, already known to the police, arrested in flagrante delicto on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing drugs. The man had been noticed during a territorial control service set up at night: the Carabinieri had surprised him while he seemed intent on preparing a dose of drugs.
Upon seeing the patrol, he attempted to run away and hide inside a building, trying in vain to get rid of the narcotic. After recovering the package, the military carried out a personal search and found him in possession of another 10 grams of hashish, a switchblade soaked in drug residue and 260 euros in cash, believed to be proceeds from drug dealing. Taken to the barracks, the 43-year-old was declared under arrest and placed under house arrest, at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
