«We must open the “Vibo case” by placing ourselves alongside, or rather in front of, the Asp commission. We must demand from the governor of the Region and ad acta health commissioner a specific DCA for this province, as is done for emergencies.” It was this heartfelt speech by the mayor of Vibo, Enzo Romeo, which summarized the voices of the first citizens, the unions and the associations who took part in the meeting of the Conference of Mayors (liaison body between ASP and local authorities) held yesterday afternoon, on the call of the president, Salvatore Fortunato Giordano.
The large audience did not hold back in applause when Romeo continued: «Unfortunately we found that the president of the ASP commission, Vittorio Piscitelli, who was trying to do something in this dramatic situation, was sent away».
