“Western Europe should take note” and accept that “the era in which the United States subsidized the defense of rich nations is over; we need partners, not protectorates.” US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth says so during a speech in Singapore. «Alliances are not judged by the number of flags, but by the number of military formations. We don’t need more conferences; we need greater combat capabilities,” said the Pentagon chief, speaking at the main Asian forum on security and defense, the Shangri-La Dialogue.
«When our interests coincide, we act together with determination and concentration. But when they diverge, we adapt pragmatically, without drama or moral hesitation,” Hegseth said. “Europe and NATO have important decisions to make and we will discuss them further,” he concluded.
The US has enough weapons to resume the war in Iran
The United States has more than enough weapons stockpiles and is “more than capable” of resuming war with Iran. Pentagon Secretary General Pete Hegseth declared this in Singapore.
“Our ability to resume activities if necessary is because we are more than capable, our stockpiles are more than adequate for this purpose, both there and around the world, because of the way we balance high-quality and more abundant munitions,” Hegseth said at Asia’s main defense summit.
