Hezbollah has announced that a second high-ranking commander of the group, Ahmed Wahbi, was killed yesterday in the Israeli attack south of Beirut, Sky News reported. Wahbi oversaw the military operations of the Radwan special forces during the Gaza war until early 2024. Hezbollah had previously confirmed the killing of its high-ranking commander Ibrahim Aqil in the attack on the southern outskirts of the Lebanese capital.
Hezbollah has named the 14 members of the terrorist group killed in yesterday’s Israeli air strike on Beirut. Together with the head of the military wing Ibrahim Aqil, the commanders Ahmed Wahhabi, head of the central training unit; and then Taleb Abdullahhead of the Nasr regional division; Muhammad Nasser, commander of the regional division Aziz and Wissam al-Tawil, deputy head of the Radwan elite force led by Aqil, The Times of Israel reports.
The death toll from an Israeli airstrike targeting Hezbollah military leaders in a Beirut building yesterday has risen to 31, including three children, according to Lebanon’s Health Minister, who said 68 people were injured.
