Paternò Igea Virtus confirms itself as an increasingly “team” team, conquering the “Falcone-Borsellino” at the end of a well-played match. The supremacy of the people of Barcelona was clear against the willing boys from Paternal, who tried to throw their hearts over the obstacle, but failed. Igea took the reins of the game right from the start, imposing a pressing pace, trying to beat Branduani’s goal, but it was in the second half, at dawn and dusk of the half, that the goals arrived. Credit therefore goes to Calafiore and his teammates, but above all to Mister Marra.
Going into the news, Igea came close to scoring in the 11th minute, when Cicirello tried a shot from close range, but Fernandez (the best of his team) replaced the goalkeeper and saved his own goal from capitulation. On the following corner kick, Squillace’s ball goes to Cicirello, who tries the overhead kick, but Fernandez counters it by deflecting the ball again into a corner. Paternò is seen in the 20th minute with Boulahia, but the header is high over the crossbar, while in the 30th minute, Boulahia himself serves Golfo from the outside, a cross shot and the ball ends up just wide. In the 38th minute, another Squillace corner, Maltese heads the ball, but the ball hits the outside of the post and goes out. As the action continues, cross to the center for Samake, who tries with a great header, but Branduani is attentive. The second half always starts with Igea ahead. In the 4th minute, Paternò mixes in the area, but the ball is saved by the usual Fernandez. The goal is in the air and is also the result of a melee. Subsequent Igeano corner kick, ball ends up on the crossbar, returns to the field, Maltese comes from behind and puts it in.
The Giallorossi persisted, first in the 36th minute, with a free kick from Squillace which Branduani saved, then in the 38th minute with a great shot from Bisogno, on which Branduani showed all his qualities. Paternò capitulates for the second time in the 45th minute. Free kick from Balsano, ball in the center of the area, Cicirello dives and heads the goal to make it 2-0 which ends the contest.
