The judicial police team of the Cosenza Highway Police sectionas part of investigations delegated by the local Public Prosecutor’s Office following investigations into the illegitimacy of the system for detecting speed violations carried out with the instrumentation called T-Exspeed v 2.0, executed a preventive seizure order issued by the investigating judge at the ordinary court of the Bruzio capital. The Highway Police officers, following an investigation delegation issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Cosenza, were able to crystallize elements that allowed the investigating judge to issue seizure orders regarding speed meters called T-Exspeed v.2.0 with fixed stations for detecting speed, both average and punctual, located along the SS 107 and the SP 234 of the province of Cosenza, the SS.106 delle Calabrie.
The investigations carried out – as reported – have allowed us to ascertain not only the failure to homologate but also the absence of the prototype of the detection systemessential elements to ascertain the legitimacy of the violations detected by these systems, owned by private companies that are rented to local authorities, with the concrete risk of damage to the treasury in the event of an appeal by users to whom the judges often recognize, in addition to the cancellation of the report, also the compensation for expenses.
The seizure concerns equipment located throughout the national territory and in particular those present in various municipalities and cities such as Venice, Vicenza, Modena, Reggio Emilia, Pomarico, Cerignola, Pianezza, Piadena, Formigine, Arcola, Carlentini, San Martino in Pensiliis.
