Immense loss for the Carabinieri, the mobile radio unit and the city of Castrovillari. A sudden illness, in fact, struck the chosen officer Alberto Sciulli, just 32 years old. A servant of the State who has never left the young people of the city of Castrovillari alone, and this through sleepless nights spent curbing the fumes of the nightlife, but also ensuring the right security framework in a city that is anything but peaceful. His heart was big. Especially towards the elderly and defenseless people. The news of his death, which occurred during a holiday period in Cilento, deeply affected and saddened the municipal administration and the new mayor, Anna De Gaio. Because Alberto was a Carabiniere who carried out his service to the community with dedication and a sense of duty, torn away too soon from the affection of his loved ones and his life plans. The funeral will be held on Monday afternoon (4.30pm) at the Church of San Francesco di Paola, a stone’s throw from the Carabinieri Company; while the funeral home will be set up this morning at the Castrovillari Cemetery.
“To his family – declared Professor De Gaio – to his parents, to his partner Giorgia Cruscomagno, to his colleagues from the Carabinieri and to all those who loved him, may we extend our closeness, our affection and our prayers in this moment of immense pain. In these hours of sadness, the Castrovillarese community unites in the memory of a young servant of the State and in sharing the pain of the families involved, trusting that «they can find comfort in the affection and in everyone’s solidarity.”
