“She did not observe the veil obligation and broke the law.” This was stated by Iranian Science Minister Hossein Simai Saraf, speaking about the student who partially undressed in the courtyard of Tehran’s Azad University over the weekend, after being harassed by officers for not observing the Islamic dress code.

Saraf called the publication of the videos “immoral”, Isna reports, and said that the girl “suffers from mental problems” and it was “a very good idea” to transfer her to hospital and “not to a detention center”.
