The Calabrian municipalities reapprose a fundamental role for the benefit of the territory, providing services capable of solving uncomfortable situations to improve the quality of life of citizens. This is the mission of the pilot project “Proximity offices” To which 25 municipal bodies have joined through the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Calabria Region and the 9 relating courts.
This morning, in the presidential classroom of Court of Paolaa meeting took place which officially inaugurated the branches of the Municipalities of Maritime Belvedere, Cetraro, Praia a Mare, Scalea And Verbicaroin the presence of the mayors and local institutional representatives.
The MEP Giusi Princiwho had reactivated the project as a regional councilor, intervened in videocollection, underlining the importance of the initiative for the weakest bands and sharing it as a virtuous experience also in the European seat: “With the opening of these offices – he said – the citizens of the entire Cosentino area will have a quick and accessible justice service, close to where they live”.
To open the presentation, the President of the Court of Paola Filippo Leonardowhich highlighted the institutional synergy and the strategic value of the project: “A magnificent example of how fruitful, for public interest, the collaboration between bodies to offer qualified and accessible support to citizens is”. With him also the tutelary judge Elvezia Veterewhich remarked the practical importance of the initiative.
Proximity offices are intended to offer orientation and support for practices of voluntary jurisdiction such as protections, cure them and other civil proceedings, providing assistance in forms and procedures.
The General Manager of the Programming Department of the Calabria Region, Francesco Vennerihe expressed great satisfaction for the start of the doors, underlining that the goal is to put the citizen back to the center, with particular attention to the most disadvantaged people.
The meeting also attended Rachele famouspresident of the Province of Cosenza for the service centers for volunteering, which has expressed the willingness to collaborate for a possible expansion of the project.
Paola Bianchiresponsible for the project for Fincalabraillustrated the activities carried out, including the training of staff, and announced the permanent provision of the contents on the website www.udpcalabria.it: “We inherit a heritage of skills. Even after the formal conclusion of our support, we will continue to offer operational support to the Municipalities”.
