«La Cura» is the new single of the singer -songwriter Mariella Nava and Salvatore Cauteruccio with Roberto Musolino and Giuseppe Miele. A tribute to Franco Battiato on his birthday on March 23. This year, the Sicilian artist – who disappeared in May 2021 in Milo – would have turned 80 years old.
Mariella Nava, called the lady of Italian music, wrote for Renato Zero, Andrea Bocelli, Lucio Dalla, Gianni Morandi, Mango, Eduardo De Crescenzo, shared the idea of the accordionist Salvatore Cauteruccio, a musician with whom he has been collaborating for several years.
In this regard, Mariella Nava said: “” The cure “is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful songs because it manages to explain what love is. Attention, caress, dedication, intensity, protection, understanding, tenderness, passion, preserving the person loved by any possible attack of time, keeping away his relationship from any contamination, from any interference. On March 23 Franco Battiato would have turned 80 and is our “cure” preserving his art and offering him our tribute as a gift. My personal tribute is this interpretation of his wonderful song. There is a video that takes up our moment of recording room, in our pure feeling, in playing it and singing it with the vibrant and light notes of piano, of cello and accordion ropes that accompany my voice. I want to give my thanks to the musicians for this delicate and precious reinterpretation of “La Cura” and, in particular, to Salvatore Cauteruccio who is often at my side also in live concerts ».
