The goal is to strengthen the party. Above all, regroup it in view of the municipal elections next spring. For this reason, the city board met, convened by the secretary Gennarino Masi and the president Francesco Grandinetti, the federation secretary took part in that event Domenico Giampà and party officials Doris Lo Moro and Italo Realeas well as the members of the provincial management. What emerged during the meeting was «the importance of the spirit of unity that must inspire the actions of the party and the entire coalition», with the main objective of «guiding the process of renewal of the city, putting an end to the disastrous experience of the Mascaro administration”. But this also means finding a solution for the candidate for mayor who will have to lead the centre-left coalition. But there is still a long way to go on this. Doris Lo Moro, who has had a long administrative career behind her as mayor of the city, as regional councilor for health and as a deputy, has declared for some time now that she is making herself available to the party and the city. A candidacy that is liked by part of the Dem group, especially led by the city secretary Gennarino Masi who, right from the start, supported the hypothesis of Lo Moro’s candidacy.
