Three silver medals for Italy at the finals of the international circuit of the fourth and final stage of the Filippi Beach Sprint Trophy in Marina di Castagneto Carducci where 345 athletes from 30 nations competed in the last three days. Great performance for Federico Ceccarino (Fiamme Gialle/CC Napoli) and Federica Cesarini (Fiamme Oro/SC Gavirate): the Azzurri, fifth at the World Cup and European Championships in 2025, beat the Czech Republic of Adam Perout and Michaela Pospisilova in the quarter-finals and China of Hongze Gao and Zhijin Li in the semi-final. Close competition for gold where Lithuania of Zygimantas Galisanskis and Raminta Morkunaite precedes Italy by just over a second. In the general classification of the four stages of the Filippi Trophy, the Azzurri are second with 50 points just behind Lithuania first with 65.

Second place in the men’s singles for Lucio Fugazzotto from Messina. The Fiamme Gialle/Peloro Rowing athlete won the national derby with Antonio Vicino (Marina Militare) and then achieved success in the semi-final with the German Moritz Wolff. In the final, a narrow defeat, by just over a second, against the German Franz Werner. With this result, Fugazzotto scores 37 points and secures third place in the final classification of the Filippi Trophy just behind the Germans Werner and Wolff.

Silver for Carlotta Savona in the women’s Under 19 singles. The Italian from CS Urania, after overcoming the Turkish Irem Ustundag in the quarterfinals and the Austrian Elena Schalk in the semifinals, lost in the final by less than a second to the Chinese Weiwei Zhu but celebrated her success in the general classification of the Filippi Trophy thanks to the 66 points collected between Mondello, Fano, Bacoli and Marina di Castagneto. Lisa Marchetti (SC Varese) and Silvia Messina (Peloro Rowing) were eliminated in the quarterfinals. Fourth place for Andrea Sciavicco Fasano in the men’s Under 19 singles. The Peloro Rowing athlete wins the duel with the Tunisian Zantour Iyed by 15 hundredths in the quarterfinals before losing to the Czech Lukas Kasik in the semifinals. In the final for bronze, the winner was the Czech Lukas Krizek who won the general specialty classification just ahead of Sciavicco Fasano. The adventure of Peloro Rowing (Gaia Saija, Andrea Sciavicco Fasano) and SC Palermo (Giorgia Cassina, Federico Andrei Munteanu) ends in the quarter-finals of the Under 19 mixed doubles.
