Double date with Tim Robbins, the American star guest for two nights at the Magna Graecia Film Festivaldirected by Gianvito Casadonte. On Thursday evening, the Oscar-winning actor and director was the protagonist of a talk moderated by journalist and co-director of the film festival Silvia Bizio, focused on the musical project he has carried out with his band, linked to the musical tradition of the great American masters, as well as to the story of today’s world.

Tim Robbins received the Golden Column created by the GB Spadafora Brand, delivered by the mayor of Catanzaro, Nicola Fiorita, with the following motivation: “Multifaceted and unconventional master of the international theater and cinema scene, he gave us intense interpretations that will remain forever engraved in the minds and hearts of entire generations. Defender of civil rights, icon of courage, civil and social commitment, he teaches us how substance counts beyond the image. Thank you Tim Robbins, free spirit and extraordinarily folk”. For him also the Calabria Film Commission award delivered by the extraordinary commissioner Anton Giulio Grande.

Last night, instead, the long-awaited concert with the bandwith which Tim Robbins has been performing since 2012, who entertained and excited the audience of a festival that never ceases to amaze and make its audience dream. The concert did not disappoint the expectations of those present who got to know a new side of the actor and director, an all-round artistic personality. Last night at the Arena Porto, in addition to the concert by Tim Robbins & The Rogues Gallery Band, there was also the screening of “Flaminia” by Michela Giraud in competition in the “Opere prime e seconde italiane” section. At the Supercinema, at 8:30 pm, the screenings of the documentary section also ended with “Tutte le cose che resta” presented by the director Cinzia Lo Fazio.
