«The fundamental messages» of last year’s recommendations «are two: trying to reduce extraordinary support measures on energy costs and the second is whether countries have managed to preserve the space for public investments», explained Gentiloni, underlining that “preserving investments and caution on current spending are two of the recommendations” for the EU evaluation.
