On the night of Christmas Eve, the Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit reported a 38-year-old from Messina, already known to the police, found in possession of illegal explosive artefacts and pyrotechnic devices in his home.
In particular, the military personnel, following preliminary investigations, carried out a search at the 38-year-old’s home, where they found over 28 kilograms of illegally detained pyrotechnic devicesincluding trademarked fireworks batteries, as well as home-made candles and therefore potentially dangerous to people’s safety.
At the end of the cataloging operations, the fireworks were seized and transferred to an authorized warehouse, while the 38-year-old was reported to the Judicial Authority as he was allegedly responsible for the crime of illegal possession of explosive materials.
