“The city of Messina will benefit from funding from the Sicilian Region amounting to 535 thousand euros for the placement of breakwater barriers between Ponteschiavo and Giampilieri, the result of 2 amendments that I proposed as part of the approval of the last regional budget and subsequent variations”. This was announced by the deputy from Messina and group leader at the ARS of the M5S Antonio De Luca, after the signing of the specific decree by the regional director of Infrastructure and Mobility, arch. Salvatore Lizzio.
“The sums allocated – specifies the five-star parliamentarian – will arrive in the coffers of the Municipality of Messina within a few days and, in a short time I hope, it will be possible to secure the coastline of the southern area and give concrete answers to the residents of those places, who at every storm surges suffer enormous inconvenience and, very often, even damage to their homes.”
“In recent months – concludes the Hon. Antonio De Luca – I followed the administrative procedure process on a daily basis and I am happy that the decree transferring the resources to Palazzo Zanca has finally been signed. Once the sums have been collected, the Municipality of Messina will be able to proceed with the tender. I hope that the municipal offices will be quick, because securing that portion of territory is fundamental and urgent.”
