As part of the celebrations for San Marco, patron saint of the village of Mili San Marco, the Festa committee wanted to dedicate a space on its program to a summer version of the Milese carnival. This festival has always been an important part of the history and identity of the place, although in recent years it has lost its “attractive force” especially among the younger generations. So we tried to enhance the link with history to create opportunities for relaunching for the future. Many of the seamstresses of the village have dedicated time and space since January to the creation of clothes and accessories inspired by Sicilian folklore that can be considered true artistic artifacts.
