The municipal councilor of Lamezia Terme, Giulia Bifano (Fdi), announced in a press release that she had resigned her position, at the end of a reflection developed with a sense of responsibility and in full respect of the institutions and her own party.
«I would like to point out – explains Giulia Bifano – that the intention to resign the mandate had already been represented to the Party during the month of December and anticipated to the Mayor Murone in a private conversation in the presence of the regional coordinator Wanda Ferro; During the Christmas holidays I therefore felt it was my duty to take the time for further, responsible reflection before formalizing the decision. Unfortunately, over time, a situation emerged which, despite mutual respect and respect for roles, made it increasingly complex to carry out my mandate with the full effectiveness and serenity required. In this context, I considered it responsible to hand over the assignment, putting the city’s interest before any personal evaluation.”
«The decision – he continued – is taken as a result of long reflection and respectful discussion, as part of an assessment of opportunities aimed at encouraging, in this phase, the best continuity of the administrative approach. I thank the Mayor, my council colleagues, the majority groups and the municipal offices for the collaboration shown and I remain available to ensure an orderly handover. I wish the Administration good luck and renew my commitment and love for Lamezia Terme, which I will continue to serve in every possible way.”
