Murder in Verbicaro, mechanic found dead with skull smashed in his workshop: nephew heard

Yellow in Verbicaro, an elderly man was found dead with a shattered skull. A tragic and dramatic episode that shook the small community in the heart of the Riviera dei Cedri last night. Ugo Lofranoa 74-year-old mechanic, was found lifeless inside his workshop. The signs of violence found on his body were evident. According to what was reconstructed by the police, the man was hit with a blunt force. It could probably be a bar. The alarm was raised by some local people who heard the screams and then found the mechanic on the ground in a pool of blood. The authorities would therefore have been notified within minutes.
Inside the workshop there would have been a violent altercation which then led the attacker to hit the 74-year-old. A precise trail is being followed.
The Carabinieri of the Scalea Company intervened promptly on the spot, starting investigations to shed light on the dynamics of the incident.

According to initial information, the death dates back to shortly before the discovery, a period of time ranging from 6pm to 7pm. Investigators have already interviewed several people, including a 30-year-old nephew, who at the moment could be one of the main suspects. The Carabinieri of the Scalea Company under the orders of the captain Andrea D’Angelo they are working to clarify the contours of the story.
