Musical education has in Italy a centenary tradition that has actively contributed to the construction of a vast cultural heritage of which everyone can enjoy. Within this panorama, the recognition of the value of the artistic experience in supporting the acquisition of transversal, expressive skills, but also with great social force is shared today: undergoing it has been investing for three years in this sense by proposing an active comparison between university research and good school practices. This year it is staged in Bologna, in the important euphonic scenario on 10 and 11 May a meeting for musicians, professionals in the sector and fans of varied music. Indire, present with his research group “Music at school” dedicates seminars to recognition of training to creativity and fully innovative practices. In particular, Indire has opened applications (paper required and aimed at the annual issue) to propose educational and methodological interventions that see music becoming an instrument of learning, well -being, inclusion and teaching experimentation. On Saturday 10 May, at 10 am, the indirect conference took place “harmonies of skills: music in support of personal and social growth” in which indirect researchers have reserved a space for reflection on the role of music in promoting non -cognitive skills in formal and non -formal educational contexts. The arts – and in particular music – are recognized as fundamental levers for the development of critical and creative thinking, emotional intelligence, collaboration and management of emotions. A very current theme also by virtue of the issue of law n.22/25 “Introduction of the development of non -cognitive and transversal skills in the paths of educational institutions”. The Comprehensive Institute makes Commenda sent a proposal that was chosen to be presented in this scenario. Yes, it deals with “my sleep cloud”, expressive and transversal path designed and conducted by the teacher and trainer Giulia Falcone, a path recognized as good educational practice. The route, inspired by the ministerial announcement “Sleep or I am Dessto” promoted by Assirem was addressed for a bimestre to the pupils of two first classes of the primary “G.stancati” and produced two artistic and expressive results that the teacher Falcone, during the conference, defined in psycho-pedagogical and methodological references. An expressive path that revolves around the practice of mindfulness, a state of awareness and attention to identity, time and interpersonal relationship and with others. Aspects that recall the “non -cognitive skills” but that are anchoring to the concept of “community sociality” proposed in the collective writing of Mario Lodi and in the push to write to express their needs of Tullio De Mauro. The two expressive results produced are, in fact, a collective writing text (a lullaby), the music of this writing (with Mirrov One to One methodology) and a picture made with the presence in the class of the illustrator Rachele Clausi. A path assessed as an authentic task for criteria and descriptors of judgment; A path that has found significant feedback even in parents who, amazed, listened and sung with their children a music written and designed by each child.
A beautiful active school page, further recognition towards expressiveness and transversal, artistic and aware narration: a school attentive to the person and the global growth context, a choice shared by all teachers and supported with commitment and passion by the manager Simona Sansosti.
