‘Ndrangheta massacre, testimony on Pino Piromalli’s wiretaps

The defendants in the second appeal trial of the “Ndrangheta massacre” return to the courtroom this morning after the reopening of the hearing decided by the president of the Court of Assizes of Appeal Angelina Bandiera, which took place in the hearing of 23 January. In the dock, in the proceedings underway before the judges in Piazza Castello, are the boss of the Brancaccio neighborhood of Palermo Giuseppe Graviano and the Calabrian Rocco Santo Filippone, linked according to the DDA to the Piromalli gang. Both are accused of being the instigators of the double murder of the carabinieri Antonino Fava and Vincenzo Garofalo, killed on the evening of 18 January 1994 near the Scilla motorway junction.
