An appeal for dialogue and collegiality comes from We Moderateswhich expresses doubts about the method adopted by president Roberto Occhiuto for the composition of the new regional council of Calabria.
In a note, the political coordinator Saverio Romano recognizes that the team presented by the governor is “made up of quality people”, but underlines that the choice “cannot be defined as collegial”. In fact, the movement complains about its exclusion from the first phase of defining the executive, despite the 4% obtained at the polls and the election of two regional councillors.
Romano recalls that Noi Moderati, despite not having been part of the previous administrative team, contributed “with loyalty and a spirit of coalition” to the success of the centre-right, through “an enormous effort and a rooting built in the territory”.
The exclusion, the note continues, “is not only an injustice towards a political force that has demonstrated reliability and a sense of responsibility, but risks weakening the majority itself, depriving it of a contribution of ideas and skills”.
The movement concludes by reiterating its willingness to work “seriously in political and institutional settings, in the exclusive interest of citizens and the common good”.
