The available budget is almost finished and the Municipality of Crotone has had to put a stop to the recruitment of new staff: it hoped to reach 200 new hires by 2025 but this will not be the case. This is what emerged the other day during a meeting that the union leaders of the Public Service of the CGIL Vast Area of Crotone, Catanzaro and Vibo Valentia, Franco Grillo (general secretary) e Nicola Belcastro (coordinator for local authorities), they had in the Town Hall with the administration led by the mayor, Vincenzo Voce.
At the center of the discussion was the new three-year personnel plan 2023-2025 drawn up by the city executive which, compared to what was planned in the past, is characterized by a sharp step backwards for the recruitment of workers, especially through competitions, for the lack of financial resources to use in the future to hire and retrain employees. «Such financial difficulties – say the managers of the FP of the CGIL – in fact require constant monitoring of spending but, at the same time, an enormous reduction in hiring spaces and therefore a reduction in new professional figures and hires to be introduced into the institution».
