Giuseppe Falcomatà yesterday entered the hall of Palazzo Campanella for the first time, seat of the Calabrian regional council, this time in the role of regional councillor. An entrance that takes on different meanings, personal but also political. His history in the Democratic Party dates back a long time, and after eleven years at the helm of the city of the Bronzes, the transition to the Calabria Region represents a step that he considers useful for continuing a commitment in favor of the Reggio community.
The path to Palazzo Campanella was not the simplest: having faded the candidacy for governor for the centre-left, he had to overcome many obstacles to win the seat as regional councilor in a Democratic Party that appeared more divided than ever. A role that could have earned him a place in the presidency of the Chamber or that of group leader of the Dems, but neither of the two options materialized.
