Two people from Messina and a mission: to send a strong message, from one of the many cities that has unfortunately experienced the drama of femicide up close. Cabrio (Angelo Soraci) on the lyrics, Alessandro Magnisi took care of the music, arrangement and mastering, thus “Non un’altra” was born, a song published last November 28th and inspired by the innocent death of Sara Campanella. «This song was born from the need to react to an unjust tragedy – said Cabrio -, a fact that shook all of Italy but particularly the Peloritana community. I wanted to do something, to give shape to the tears of a life broken at the hands of one of his university colleagues, a hand that turned into a knife and killed a girl, along with her dreams and hopes.”
A phrase, which later became a slogan for Sara’s family, for those who loved her but also for many other people (“I love myself too much to be with anyone”) was the source of inspiration: “It remained in my heart as in that of many Italians I believe – added the pop singer-songwriter and guitarist -, what I wrote is intended to be a small manifesto of redemption, something that remains close to those who experience fear and violence, to those who seek strength and courage”.
Through everything we never want to hear again, it becomes clear what love should never be. «Instead it is a combination, what for us unites music», added Magnisi, who is currently also CEO of “T Records Messina”.
