The historic center and its prospects were discussed in the majority meeting which took place yesterday at Palazzo De Nobili on the initiative of the mayor Nicola Fiorita. Pedestrian area but not only among the topics addressed, a sign that we will still have to wait for the establishment of a permanent traffic stop in the stretch of Corso Mazzini between Piazza Grimaldi and Piazza Santa Caterina; in fact, there are many actions to be taken before you can get there, starting from discussions with traders and residents up to the identification of a new road system that will make up for the blockage of transit along that stretch.
In this regard, the mayor does not go too far and explains that yesit was “an internal majority meeting”. And he underlines that we will have to talk about an overall vision of the historic centre, for which the executive project for the redevelopment of Galleria Mancuso has just been approved by the Council, while the planning of the interventions in Villa Margherita is underway and is being discussed with the Region the new agreement for Palazzo Fazzari.
