The Purchasing Card initiativeoriginally started in 2008is relaunched to offer a financial support to those who are facing economic hardship due to rising food costs and energy bills. The Ministry of Economy and Finance announced on its official website the availability of the forms for submitting applications, marking the restarting the program. Since its debut, almost 6 million citizens have benefited from this initiative, with a total investment of around 2.2 billion euros.

How to access the benefits of the program

The renewed program Purchasing Card provides its beneficiaries with a regular contribution of 80 euros bimonthlywhich can be used for food, medical and utility bills. Eligible citizens can submit their application at post offices by completing the forms available on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance. Those who already benefit from this aid and maintain the required requirements will continue to automatically receive the contribution without the need for further requests.
