The Undersecretary concluded his telephone intervention by declaring: “We are therefore aware that it is not enough to exacerbate the penalties or improve the monitoring of the culprits, however fundamental the preventive measures and electronic bracelets are fundamental. A cultural revolution is needed, which dismantles prejudices and stereotypes, mitigating and unfounded explanations with which we often try to justify violence against women: the raptus of jealousy, the alleged betrayal, the discomfort lived towards situations of emotional crisis or choices of life. None of these justifications can be accepted“.
