Matt Rizzetta arrived in Reggio Calabria on Saturday morning. That news fueled by rumors and sightings had several confirmations during a day that opened with a new relaunch for the acquisition of the Amaranth club submitted to owner Ballarino. The first had not received a response after days of waiting, but the need to relaunch probably arose from the rumors that the Strait company was one step away from being sold to a Roman group that conventionally defines itself as the “Lotito group”.
The owner of Lazio is the point of reference for this consortium at the media level, but it is not yet known what his role would be considering the timeshare issue. This is a speech on which the commitment of the mayor Francesco Cannizzaro seems clear, who even before being elected had guaranteed his commitment to finding a solution that would guarantee an improved future for Reggina.
The situation
Confirmation of Rizzetta’s presence in Reggio Calabria came from the Instagram stories published by the person concerned. He can be seen on the city’s seafront with Nicola Cirincione at his side, his collaborator and vice-president of Campobasso.
Yesterday’s developments highlight that the entrepreneur is still in the running. In fact, new confidentiality agreement scenarios have emerged which become confirmation of the fact that the discussions are alive. However, the balance does not seem to have changed. The Lotito group continues to have a margin of advantage which however is subordinate to the speed with which the discussions are concluded. If, for example, a white smoke doesn’t arrive on Monday, the cards will get mixed up again. Also because it is in the seller’s interest to close the discussions as soon as possible.
And the Amaranth fans, tired by yet another difficult summer, also hope so.
