Seventeen days before the local elections, the composition of the city council in Reggio Calabria changes again.
After a recount of the preference votes in four electoral sections, Forza Italia’s candidate, Rocco Lascala, surpasses the last of those elected on the same list, Antonino Zimbalatti, by three votes. Lascala, in fact, obtained 992 preference votes against Zimbalatti’s 989.
The distribution of seats remains unchanged
Antonino Zimbalatti, until a few months before the elections, had been a city councilor of the centre-left.
The data, however, does not change the seats assigned to the coalitions: 23 councilors were elected for the centre-right, 8 for the centre-left and 1 for a civic list.
