This morning, at the Cathedral Basilica of Reggio Calabriathe women and men of the State Police celebrated a Holy Mass in honor of the Patron Saint Saint Michael the Archangel.
The religious function, officiated by Monsignor Pasqualino Catanese, Vicar General, and the Chaplain of the State Police Don Gianni Giordano, was attended by the Prefect of the Province of Reggio Calabria Dr. Clara Vaccaro, the Police Commissioner Dr. Salvatore La Rosa and numerous civil authorities , soldiers and representatives of various associations.
During the Holy Mass, food items were delivered as a symbol of a collection carried out by the Reggio police to support people in need, which will subsequently be distributed by the Curia of Reggio Calabria and by the parish priest of the State Police Don Gianni Giordano to the neediest families.
In his greeting, Police Commissioner La Rosa wanted to recall the commitment of all the men and women of the State Police who every day ensure compliance with the law with commitment and sacrifice, to protect the safety of all citizens.
On the same morning, the vehicles of the State Police which are used daily in carrying out services in the area, both by the Police Headquarters and by the Specialties, such as the Mobile Department, the Traffic Police and the Crime Prevention Department, were displayed in Piazza Duomo.
The event was enriched by the presence in the square of the Lamborghini Urus of the State Police, the super SUV of the Bolognese company, set up following the characteristics of the Police. Inside the car there are various elements indispensable for the organ transport service and for the special traffic police services, including a defibrillator for first aid interventions and, above all, a portable fridge for organ transport including display and datalogger for constant monitoring of the internal temperature.
