On November 6th the three prefectural commissioners, Santi Giuffrè, Rosa Correale and Michele Albertini, officially summoned the PSC planners to the Town Hall. The intentions are to restart the process and, if possible, proceed with a new, important approval.
Including the so-called Pau, often and reluctantly at the center of controversies and discussions. An unexpected decision. Which comes with the revocation adopted last May 14th, exactly one year later (May 2023) of the provision voted by a majority as the last act of Marcello Manna’s administration. That is to say shortly before the dissolution of the Municipality due to alleged mafia infiltration. There is also other news linked precisely to the PSC. Over 60 owners signed a document and subsequently registered, in recent days, a request for a meeting with the three commissioners.
«We don’t do politics, we just want to compare ourselves with Santi Giuffrè, Rosa Correale and Michele Albertini. We believe that the revocation of Rende’s PSC has blocked, or at least slowed down, the city’s only short-term economic growth tool. There is a lively concern that this act could also have social consequences.”
