In Rende there is an infrastructure that for years has divided public opinion more than it actually connects two parts of the city: the pedestrian walkway between Viale dei Giardini and via Mattia Preti. A bridge completed some time ago, visible, imposing, already inserted into the urban landscape… but never inaugurated.
And above all never open to citizens. Today the new administration led by Mayor Principe is trying to address the issue by announcing beautification interventions in the surrounding area. A positive signal, of course, but one that does not resolve the main issue: the passage remains closed and the community continues to ask for certain times for its use.
