They are some of the winners of the nineteenth edition of the Rome Film Festival awarded during the awards ceremony which took place in the Sala Petrassi of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.
The Rome Film Festival is officially recognized as a Competitive Festival by Fiapf (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films). The jury chaired by the director, screenwriter and producer Pablo Trapero, supported by the editor Francesca Calvelli, the French actress Laetitia Casta, the producer Gail Egan and the writer and screenwriter Dennis Lehane also awarded the following awards to the films in the Progressive Cinema Competition:
Special Jury Prize: to the female cast of Reading Lolita in Tehran (Reading Lolita in Tehran).
A jury chaired by the director and screenwriter Francesca Comencini supported by the producer, composer and writer Kaili Peng and the actor Antoine Reinartz awarded – among the titles of the Progressive Cinema, Freestyle and Grand Public Competition sections – the Best First Film Award to films: Bound in heaven by Huo Xin (Progressive Cinema section) – ex aequo Hello Child by Edgardo Pistone (Freestyle section) – ex aequo. A was also awarded Special mention to actor Liu Hsiu-Fu for Pierce by Nelicia Low.
Among the titles of the Progressive Cinema Competition, spectators awarded the FS Audience Award, Official Sponsor of the Festival, to the film: Reading Lolita in Tehran by Eran Riklis. The audience of the official screening and the first replica of a film cast its vote using the official App of the Rome Film Fest, through the website www.romacinemafest.it and via the link on the purchase ticket.
