The Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano has issued two decrees revoking the state concession following the arrival of an anti-mafia interdiction. The provision, as far as we have learned, concerns the concession relating to a seaside lido in the locality of S. Angelo, in the urban area of Rossano, for the umbrella installation and establishment service. Specifically, in fact, it concerns the revocation of two concessions that refer to the same entity that owns the activity. The measures were issued following the anti-mafia information received in recent days, coming from the Prefecture, in response to the previous questions proposed by the Municipal Administration to the National Anti-Mafia Database already from the first months of the current year. The revocation proceedings, as the municipal administration of Corigliano Rossano informs, are part of other procedures, including forfeiture, which the Municipality is carrying out and which are in the administrative litigation phase. In fact, already in 2023 a procedure for the revocation of the concession was underway due to abuses found, with related appeals to the TAR by the person who held the concession. The municipality’s intervention took place as part of the activities to combat the phenomenon of illegal occupation of state land and the consequent absence of valid titles, ordered by the Castrovillari Public Prosecutor’s Office directed by the Chief Prosecutor Dr. Alessandro D’Alessio, formerly since July 2022, and in this context a preventive seizure decree of the seaside resort had been executed by the Port Authority. The plant was subsequently released from seizure and returned to the Municipality of Corigliano-Rossano in the person of the Mayor.
