The hypothesis is becoming increasingly concrete that the bone fragments present in the off-road vehicle destroyed by a fire found by the police on 18 November in a countryside area between San Luca and Bovalino belong to the breeder Antonio Strangio, 42 years old, missing for a few weeks. The hypothesis finds even more foundation after it was ascertained that the remains found on the off-road vehicle owned by Strangio are of human nature and not animal, as had initially been hypothesized.
Strangio, married and father of four children, has no precedent for ‘Ndrangheta crimes. To definitively establish whether the remains belong to the farmer, the Locri Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered their transfer to a specialized health center in Messina. It is in this structure that the bone fragments will be examined and subjected to technical analyses, including a CT scan. Subsequently, after the Locri Prosecutor’s Office gives the green light, the DNA test will also be carried out.
