The carabinieri of the Soverato Company intensified the inspections in the area with the aim of preventing the sale of dangerous foods and thus safeguard public health.
In this context, The soldiers of the Sant’Andrea Apostle of the Ionian station and the specialized colleagues of the Anti -Sophistication and Health Unit (NAS) of Catanzaro checked a bakery, which although regularly authorized to carry out that activity, brought some irregularities.
During the inspection, in fact, in the bakery laboratory some hygienic-sanitary deficiencies were detected, such as the presence of previous dirt on part of the flooring and accumulation of dirt near the equipment.
Furthermore, The conservation of about 30 kg of yeast was found, partly frozen and fresh, divided into different envelopes of cellophane without traceability, as well as any information/label attributable to the origin of the raw materials used. This product was subjected to administrative seizure.
The carabinieri inflicted sanctions for 2,500 euros and promptly informed the administrative and health authority.
