The Carabinieri of the Tenenza of Isola Capo Rizzuto, as part of the constant activities aimed at combating gender violence and crimes committed within the family, have carried out a provision issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Crotone against a 42-year-old local woman, following a final conviction. She will have to serve a total sentence of 8 years in prison, for crimes ranging from sexual violence against minors to mistreatment in the family.
The investigations, conducted through targeted investigations and with the help of local social services, allowed the emergence of a clear and corroborated circumstantial framework against the woman, who on several occasions abused her minor children, forcing them to engage in sexual acts against her and to suffer continuous harassment, which only ended with the intervention of the military.
The Carabinieri of Scandale instead carried out a provision issued by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Crotone against a 52-year-old local man, following a final conviction. He will have to serve a total sentence of 3 years in prison, because he was found guilty of the crime of domestic abuse.
