Six suspects in total for “remote online sexual violence against minors”, a phenomenon known as “live distant child abuse”, and two men aged 47 and 31 arrested in the provinces of Trento and Reggio Calabria for “possession and dissemination of large amounts of child pornography”.
This is the outcome of an investigation by the Milan Prosecutor’s Office, conducted by the National Center for Combating Online Child Pornography of the Postal Police. This was communicated by the Milan prosecutor Marcello Viola, who has called a press conference for today at the Prosecutor’s Office at 11.30.
In recent days, explains prosecutor Marcello Viola, «the State Police, with the coordination of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Milan, concluded a complex investigation, initiated by the National Center for Combating Online Child Pornography of the Postal Police, which made it possible to identify and report six subjects, subjected to investigations for remote online sexual violence against minors, a phenomenon known as ‘live distant child abuse’». Also against the other suspects, “aged between 47 and 57, residing in the provinces of Rome, Latina, Brescia and Milan, a significant quantity of computer material was found and seized, which will be subjected to analysis to reconstruct the facts of the investigation, to ascertain the involvement of further subjects and the identification of the minors involved, in collaboration with international agencies”.
