Visiting one of the most important places in Magna Graecia risks turning into a journey full of detours and difficulties. This is the situation at the Sibari Archaeological Park, one of the most important historical sites in the Mediterranean, where accessibility continues to represent one of the main critical issues for visitors and tour operators.
The problem mainly concerns those who reach the area traveling along State Road 106 in a northerly direction. Although the navigator correctly indicates the destination, those arriving from the south cannot directly access the Park entrance: it is in fact necessary to continue for several kilometers up to the first useful point to reverse the direction of travel and then go back. An inconvenience that weighs on motorists, but which becomes even more evident in the case of tourist coaches, forced to travel long distances to carry out the manoeuvre.
