Arrested under house arrest a 20 year old from the province of Reggio Calabria for persecutory acts and carrying and possession of an illegal weapon, crimes committed between January and September 2024 between Montalcino (Siena), Gioia Tauro and Palmi. He is charged with circumstantial evidence for persecutory conduct towards a girl from Montalcino with whom he wanted to have a romantic relationship. Among the acts, he deposited a gun in a bin near where the stalking victim works. The precautionary measure was ordered by the Siena investigating judge at the request of the Siena prosecutor’s office. Among the episodes it appears that in the city of Brunello wine, in September, shortly before being checked by the police, he also allegedly got rid of an illegal firearm, abandoning it in a bin in a shop near the victim’s workplace. The weapon was found by the police and seized. The arrested person was tracked down in Piedmont by the Ivrea carabinieri. He is now restricted to his home in Gioia Tauro.
