Great enthusiasm this morning in the Municipality, for the delivery of the “Pietre di fede” app to the municipal administration by the students of the technical institute (Iis, ITG and Ite). With the application designed, the school had won the “Vibo smart” award in recent months announced by the department for technological innovation to make young people protagonists of the city, in synergy with the Municipality. Up for grabs is one thousand euros to be used to develop the application.
The students were the true protagonists of the delivery ceremony, held in the council hall, in the presence of the mayor Enzo Romeo, the councilors Luisa Santoro (Technological Innovation) and Vania Continanza (Education), the school director Maria Grazia Gramendola and the delegate of the bishop Don Danilo D’Alessandro. The children illustrated the app, called “Stones of Faith”, aimed at promoting religious and cultural tourism in the city.
«I am really happy with the project – remarked the mayor – and for this reason I intend to expand it, asking students to produce, for next year, an app to disseminate the history of the city among primary and secondary school students».
