The person who was behind the wheel of the car that hit a student yesterday morning in the center of Mirto Crosia has been traced and identified. She is a local retired woman. The identity of the woman was arrived at thanks to the joint investigative activity of the Carabinieri of the local Mirto Crosia station, together with the officers of the municipal police. An intense and fast activity and in fact it was possible to trace the person responsible for the investment in just under an hour from when the accident occurred which had upset the peaceful flow of Saturday morning in the small Ionian town, crossed like he is known from state road 106. As we learned, the one who was hit was a student who attends high school in Corigliano Rossano and who was heading towards the bus stop to catch the bus that would take her to school. From a first summary reconstruction of the incident, it seems that the accident occurred while the girl was crossing the road. It seems that the car, after hitting her, did not stop and continued its journey without providing assistance to the student. The vehicle also lost a side mirror in the collision.
