Late yesterday evening, the Supreme Court issued the sentence for the shortened part of the trial resulting from the investigation “Terramara Closed”. The operation coordinated by the anti-mafia prosecutor’s office of Reggio Calabria concerned the Taurianova gangs. The Roman judges have redetermined the sentence of Domenico Fazzolari class of ’74 in 13 years, 6 months and 20 days.
The second degree sentence was annulled and postponed Giuseppe Sposato only with regard to the accusation of mafia association, all other charges were annulled by the Court. She was acquitted, however, Giovanna Sposato. The judges excluded the charges of aiding the ‘ndrangheta against her and for this reason the other crimes accused of her are barred.
Rejection Francesco Avati (3 year prison sentence confirmed), Agostino Canfora (8 years), strawman, Michele Fazzalari (11 years eight months), Domenico Antonio Fazzalari (8 years), Rocco Lazzaro (10 years), Carmelo Maiolo (11 years and eight months) and Giuseppe Talotta (5 years).
However, the appeals of Domenico Rettura (3 years), Giuseppe Naso (3 years) were declared inadmissible and orders them to pay the costs.
Positions canceled with postponement Antonio Taverna, Rosa Zagari Rosa and Italia Zagari, Domenico Fazzalari 74 regarding the confiscations.
Salvatore Fazzalari born in 1967 sentenced to 16 and 8 months in prison; Agostino Condomitti 11 years, 9 months and 10 days. Domenico Moscato 2 years and 10 months. Cancellation without postponement for Domenico Romeo and Antonio Romeo in relation to chapter 37 because the fact does not exist.
